Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 09:45AM A recent poll of 600 registered voters in Illinois by the Glengariff Group found that a majority of Illinoisans would vote to recall Governor Blagojevich. In the poll, 51.9% of registered voters would recall the Governor if the capability existed. The poll also found that 65% of Illinoisans now favor adding a recall provision to the Illinois Constitution.
It would be interesting to see what the poll result would have been if it had canvassed likely voters -- always a better demographic for polling purposes. Still, the results of the poll clearly indicate that the Governor's act has worn thin in the eyes of a seemingly aware Illinois citizenry.
I'll provide a link to the poll if and when it becomes available.
