Tony Snow Will Be Missed
Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 10:58AM
White House Press Secretary Tony Snow will be leaving his post on September 14. His talents will be dearly missed, but he has family obligations that require a job that pays just a tad more than what can be earned honestly in service to the federal government. Tony had to forgo some significant income to take the White House Press Secretary job in the first place, but when asked to serve his President and country did so unselfishly and with aplomb. The clip above is of Tony discussing what it has been like to serve the President and if being on the "inside" changed his perception of things. His answer is both sincere and delivered with the usual smooth and thoughtful articulation that is his trademark -- further reminding me of how much he will be missed in his capacity as Press Secretary. Those of us who require our Tony Snow fix are fortunate that he won't be fading into obscurity, but will in all likelihood resume his career as a highly successful pundit and thoughtful analyst of politics and government.
