Palastinian Government Official Claims Democrats Met With Hamas

The Jerusalem Post has published a story that at one point included a statement indicating that sources close to Hamas acknowledged that the terrorist group had met with officials from the U.S. Democratic Party at a secret location.  That portion of the story has since been edited out of the Post article, but can be found in an article published by YNet.  The YNet story identifies the source as a "senior member of the Palestinian government."  If true, this is a very serious and damning story indeed.  The idea of a major political party whose members don't hold executive power holding secret meetings with terrorist organizations is scandalous, not to mention potentially illegal.  Still, I'm not going to make too much of it quite yet, as it may very well be untrue.  I thought it was at least worth mentioning, though.
