    Saddam Hussein Is Dead

sht_06_upgod.jpgThe brutal and tyrannical era of Saddam Hussein has officially come to a close.  This murderous tyrant, whose actions resulted in the deaths of over 300,000 of his own countryman and a combined 1.5 million Iraqis and Iranians following Iraq's invasion of Iran in 1980, has faced the meting out of justice.  During his brutal, bloodthirsty reign of terror, he employed chemical weapons on both Iran and his own people and attempted to grab oil-rich territory by launching wars of aggression against both Iran and Kuwait.  Let his execution serve as both a symbol and a warning to evil dictators around the world that everyone eventually must answer for their evil deeds and brutality.  Let it also remind the remaining Baathists and dead-enders in Iraq that their day has since passed.

Michelle Malkin and Ed Morrissey are blogging on the execution.
