    Clueless Edwards Announces Presidential Bid

With the backyard of a home in New Orleans as the backdrop, former Senator and Vice Presidential candidate John Edwards announced himself as a candidate for president.  I had the opportunity to see a segment on Fox News covering the announcement.  The fact that Edwards chose New Orleans for his announcement simply confirms that he just doesn't grasp the state of the world today and the threat posed by Islamist radicals.  Selecting a neighborhood ravaged by Katrina suggests that Edwards believes that domestic issues and increased federal spending should be the focus of his campaign, and by extension the nation.  As a matter of fact, he did call for the elimination of some of the tax cuts, which, of course he only wants eliminated for "the rich."  The comments he reportedly made regarding Iraq were a complete disaster in that he wants to immediately extract 50,000 troops and called the war and his vote to support it a "mistake."

Maybe Edwards is right about one thing.  There are two Americas.  The one that understands the serious and dangerous period of history we are in and the one that elects to live in blissful ignorance of that danger in hopes that it will just go away.

Well, he did pick the perfect place to announce his decision to run. New Orleans is the best example we have of the failure of liberalism and Democrat ideas and programs. He showed the public what we can expect if he is elected.
