    Et Tu?

So, a high-level Vatican cardinal believes that a fence constructed along the U.S.-Mexican border would be an "inhuman program."

"Speaking of borders, I must unfortunately say that in a world that greeted the fall of the Berlin Wall with joy, new walls are being built between neighborhood and neighborhood, city and city, nation and nation," said Martino, head of the Vatican's Council for Justice and Peace.

Not to quibble, but when is the Vatican, a legitimate nation-state, going to remove it's wall

First, as a Catholic, I respectfully disagree with the Cardinal. This isn't a matter of doctrine, so I have no obligation to accept his premis. Catholics don't need more peaceniks. To compare people who illegally sneak into America with suppresed people of Germany.... it's frankly unconscionable.

Secondly, do I detect HTML in the above comment? How did that "Have a God Blessed Week" get in there? Last I checked, Squarespace didn't recognize HTML.

Good points all, Amy. I had actually told a friend of mine that the Pope may be infallible on matters of faith and morals, but not fencing! As for the HTML, I don't know. Quite the mystery, isn't it?
